Andreas Ciroth

Andreas Ciroth

Founder, CEO

Andreas Ciroth finished his PhD (error calculation in LCA) in 2001 at the TU Berlin and is working since then as sustainability consultant in research, industry, and policy contexts. Andreas is leading the openLCA project to create a free, open source sustainability assessment software. He is author and co-author of several publications about life cycle sustainability methods and application, software, and databases.

Michael Srocka

Michael Srocka

Lead Software Developer

Michael Srocka works with GreenDelta since more than 15 years; environmental engineer by education (TU Berlin, 2004) he also holds a degree in practical informatics from Fernuni Hagen. Michael leads the IT development in GreenDelta. He is a highly skilled senior programmer, with a special dedication to Java and databases, and has written most of the parts of the openLCA software.

Sebastian Greve

Sebastian Greve

Lead Software Developer

Sebastian is a skilled senior software developer and works with GreenDelta since 2008. He leads the development of several web applications, including openLCA Nexus and LCA Collaboration Server. Sebastian works full stack with core expertise in frontend and API development, currently React and Spring are his frameworks of choice.

Julia Cilleruelo Palomero

Julia Cilleruelo Palomero

Sustainability Consultant and Communications

Julia holds a master’s degree in General Engineering specialising in New and Renewable Energy from Durham University (UK). Before working at GreenDelta, Julia founded her own startup on the field of LCA. At GreenDelta, she works on LCA private and public projects and on establishing international partnerships and external communications. 

Kirill Maister

Kirill Maister

Sustainability Consultant

Kirill got a M.Sc. Environmental Resource Management degree at the Brandenburg Technical University. Currently, he is involved in LCIA and environmental consulting at GreenDelta. Before studying in Germany, he was working in the Russian power engineering sector as a project development engineer for 1.5 years.

Anja Kooymans

Anja Kooymans

Lead Backoffice & Administration

Anja holds a master’s degree in American Cultural History and a certificate in Financial Accounting. For more than twenty years, she worked in many areas as for example public relations, founding her own business in preventative sports or managing a small non-profit organization in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. There being in charge of the public funding process, she now is handling the financial aspects of the different GreenDelta projects in addition to leading the backoffice.

François Le Rall

François Le Rall

Software Developer

François graduated from KTH in Stockholm and Centrale Lyon. He previously worked as a robotic engineer in Warsaw. Since March 2022, he is working in the GreenDelta software development team. François is responsible for software development and implementation of Java applications.

Raphael Zimmermann

Raphael Zimmermann

Sustainability Consultant & Data Scientist

Raphael holds two M.Sc. degrees in Environmental and Food Economics as well as Biological Oceanography and Limnology from the University of Milan and the University of Amsterdam. He has a B.Sc. in Ecology from the University of East Anglia. Before joining GreenDelta he was involved in research of Caribbean and Antarctic marine ecosystems. He also worked as a Project Manager in the world of E-commerce. At GreenDelta he is involved in LCA projects and Python-based data analysis and database work.

Bach Ngoc Tran

Bach Ngoc Tran

Software Developer

Bach has a master’s degree in Web Engineering issued by Technical University Chemnitz and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University. Before starting master study, he has worked as a software developer for Vietsoftware, an offshore development center for IBM in Vietnam. He started his work in GreenDelta in August 2022 as a fullstack developer with expertise in Java, Javascript and frontend development.

Shravya Hebbur Murali

Shravya Hebbur Murali

Sustainability Consultant

Shravya holds degrees in Chemical Engineering (B.E.) from BMSCE, Bangalore and Environmental Engineering (M.Sc.) from TU Hamburg, where her research was focused on water treatment and management. She has previously worked in the wind energy industry for three years in QHSE and project management. At GreenDelta, she works on LCA research projects, databases and other environmental consulting activities.

Friedrich Halstenberg

Sustainability Consultant

Friedrich Halstenberg holds a PhD on Engineering of circular systems from the TU Berlin. Previously, he worked as a researcher for the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK) and the TU Berlin, where he focused on product lifecycle management (PLM) and the development of sustainable products and services. At GreenDelta, Friedrich works in research and consultancy projects focusing on LCA, Circular Economy and product development.

Conrad Spindler

Conrad Spindler

Sustainability Consultant & Researcher

Conrad holds a PhD in Physics and Materials Science from the University of Luxembourg. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher for the Laboratory of Photovoltaics and lecturer for the Scienteens Lab at the University of Luxembourg, where he focussed on the development of solar cell materials for renewable energy systems. At GreenDelta, Conrad works on research projects in the framework of HORIZON Europe, LCA database developments for openLCA and in consultancy projects with focus on LCA, LCC and sLCA.

Alexander Koch

Sustainability Consultant

Alexander has a bachelor’s degree in Resource Efficiency Management from Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and master’s degree in Biological Resources from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. Before joining GreenDelta, Alexander worked as a freelancer applying life cycle assessments. At GreenDelta he continues to work in LCA projects and is involved in various sustainability consulting activities.

Backoffice and Administration Assistant

Eleftheria holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sustainable Development from HUA in Greece and a master´s degree in Sustainability, Circular Economy and Climate Change from UTH in Greece. Before joining GreenDelta she worked as Operations Manager in the field of Circular Economy and as Sustainable Finance Strategist in the bank area. At GreenDelta she works on providing Backoffice and Administration Assistance.

Ashrakat Hamed

Sustainability Consultant

Ashrakat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Zewail City of Science and Technology, Egypt. She has prior experience in assisting organizations with conducting LCAs and EPDs. Additionally, she has expertise in preparing GHG inventories. At Greendelta, she is currently engaged in LCA/EPD consulting projects and is also involved in an EU project.

Julia Gutke

Sustainability Consultant

Julia studied Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and has a master’s degree in Industrial Ecology. She has previously been involved in research projects about sustainable renovation as well as energy storage and supply developments. At GreenDelta, she is working with LCA and is also involved in other research and consultancy projects.

Jonas holds a binational PhD in Molecular Chemistry from the University of Bremen (DE) and University Rennes I (FR). Before working at GreenDelta, Jonas did a postdoctoral stay in Nagoya (JP) and Groningen (NL). During this, Jonas decided to focus on sustainability and since then follows the MBA program Sustainable Chemistry Management at the Leuphana University Lüneburg (DE). At GreenDelta, his work focuses on public projects in the field of plastic recycling.

Anita Bhatia

Software Developer

Anita has a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering issued by National Institute of Technology, India. She  worked as a senior software developer for Infoedge Lmt and Clues Private Lmt. in India and as Research Associate at the German Institute of Food Technology DIL e.V., in Germany. She started her work in GreenDelta in July 2023 as a software developer with expertise in Python, Databases and backend development.

Sustainability Consultant & Data Scientist

Sarah holds a Master’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Forest Environment from Tuscia University, Italy. She is also a certified Data Science and Machine Learning practitioner. Prior to joining the GreenDelta team, she conducted research in forest ecology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland. Within GreenDelta, her role involves conducting LCA research projects and engaging in data-related tasks.

Tomáš holds an international Master’s degree in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management (SINReM). In addition, he also has background in environmental chemistry, circular economy, and sustainable entrepreneurship. At GreenDelta, he is involved in sustainability consulting and research projects, with the main focus on LCA.

Loay Radwan

Loay Radwan

Sustainability Consultant

Loay holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering and an International Master’s in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resources Management (SINReM). Prior to his current role, he worked as a researcher at the World Resources Forum, where he was involved in EU Horizon projects, conducting sustainability and circularity assessments, and contributing to the development of the EU PEFCR for the textile sector. At GreenDelta, Loay continues to focus on sustainability consultancy, specializing in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). 

Aytan Seyidova

Aytan Seyidova

Sustainability Consultant

Aytan holds a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering and an International Master’s in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resources Management (SINReM). Her MSc research focused on using satellite remote sensing to monitor and map greenhouse gas emissions in mineral processing regions. Before joining GreenDelta, she worked in Sweden at a copper mine as an exploration geologist. She also has experience as a seismologist and researcher at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Now at GreenDelta, she is engaged in sustainability consulting and research projects, with a focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

Mubeena Hamza

Software Developer

Mubeena holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and has experience working with JavaScript, React, and Node.js. Her skills encompass various programming languages, frameworks, and cloud tools. At GreenDelta, she contributes as a Software Developer, actively participating in sustainability-focused projects like the ongoing openLCA Web Tool utilizing React TypeScript and Carbon footprint calculating tool called Fred.

Lingjie is currently a student at the Technical University of Berlin, where she is majoring in environmental engineering. 2021 she spent 3 months as an intern at GreenDelta and gained a lot of experience about LCA. Right now, she is writing her Bachelor’s thesis at GreenDelta. At the same time, she is also involved in a number of projects and trying to learn more about sustainability and LCA.

Max Bringmann

Max Bringmann

Working Student

Max holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree with Technische Universität Berlin in Environmental Science and Technology. There, he is specializing in LCA, sustainable development and circular economy. As a sustainability consultant intern, he supports Julia in some of her LCA projects with customers.
